Before we get started: You’ll need to download the evasi0n tool here. You are also recommened to remove any passcode locks on your device before starting any jailbreak procedures.

Download the iOS 7.0.4 IPSW file for your device from our IPSW resource here.

Step 1: Consider backing up your device incase something goes wrong. You need to install a fresh copy of iOS onto your device. Do this by heading over to iTunes and manually restoring your device. You can do this by holding down the Shift key and clicking Restore on the device information tab in iTunes. Many users are getting stuck on a recovery loop or are experiencing other errors whilst jailbreaking. The main cause of these problems is down to not restoring a device to a fresh version of iOS before jailbreaking. Please ensure you restore using iTunes as described previously – and do not use the OTA method.

Step 2: Once the restore is complete, launch the Evasi0n tool. Mac users can simply mount and open as normal. Windows users may need to extract the ZIP file and run the .exe file.

Step 3: The tool will then show a dialog as below. If you have connected a compatible device with a compatible iOS version, you should be able to click the Jailbreak button.

Step 4: Midway you will be prompted to launch an Evasi0n app from your springboard. Simply unlock your device and touch onto the Evasi0n icon.

Step 5: Now just sit back and relax while the software does all the work. Remember not to disconnect your device until the process is complete. It can take up to 25 minutes for the process to complete and your device may reboot several times.

Once the process is complete, you should see Cydia on your springboard. Happy jailbreaking!
